Goodreads Synopsis:
Millington Valley is a quintessential small Pennsylvania town: families go back generations. Football rules. Kids drink while adults look the other way. High school is a whirlwind of aspiration and rivalry, friendship and jealousy.
When smart and pretty Molly Hanover moves to town and attracts the attention of the football team's hero, Wade Thornton - a nice guy with a bad drinking habit - longtime friendships are threatened and a popular cheerleader tries to turn the school against Molly.
The young couple's future is shattered when Wade, drunk, wrecks his truck and Molly is thrown through the windshield. She wakes from a coma to find her beauty marred and her memory full of holes. As she struggles to heal, she becomes sure that something terrible happened before the accident. And there is somebody in the valley who doesn't want her to remember.

Writing Thoughts:
The writing in this book was detailed. I liked that the author included quite a lot of detail, it allowed me to have a vivd image of the characters. As much as I loved the detail, sometimes the pacing wasn't fast enough to make reading the book lighter. This book is told in multiple point of views. I didn't really think it was entirely necessary.
Plot Thoughts:
The author had me at the first line. I read the prologue and was immediately drawn into the book! Unfortunately things slowed down a lot. It kind of started with this mystery of what happened and you could almost feel Molly's desperation to get to the mysterious him. But straight after the great prologue, we slow down to about four months before this mysterious accident but the story doesn't pick up for me. I found that I took so long to get through this book.
Character Thoughts:
Molly is a shy but pretty girl that attracts people. Thing seems to be kind of complicated with her. She seems to be very intelligent and likeable. She reminded me a lot of my one friend. Wade was not one of my favourite characters. I didn't like the characters in this book. I didn't connect with them and there was no common ground.
Final Thoughts:
Overall, I wasn't as in love with this story as much I had hoped I would be. The writing had the perfect amount of detail but due to the slow pacing, I struggled to get through this short book. The plot started off incredibly well but then it hit a plateau. I couldn't find something to connect myself to the characters except maybe a similarity between the main character and one of my friends. However, with that being said, I thought that this book had a lot of potential. It has multiple points in the plot that people can fall in love with. Thank you so much to Xpresso Book Tours for providing me with a copy go this book!
