Goodreads Synopsis:

It's hard being a Princess.

Mackenzie Grey has never felt as vulnerable as she does now - but that won't stop her from getting what she wants: revenger. Kent and her friends journey to a new land where everyone has most ice and everyone is a suspect.

The Lunas find their voices after the massacre but the question still stands - who is the real enemy? If Mackenzie wants to free herself, she will need to free them all; and it won't be easy. As she approaches her 24th birthday - in the middle of a web of lies, deception, and murder - Kent has to weave her way to the truth before she's next on the chopping block.

With her companions, Mackenzie will make her final stand and change the course of the Lycan world forever.

Book Review:
Pre-reading Thoughts:

As I have said in my review of the previous book in this series, CAGED, I am total trash for this series right now. It has an addicting main character and less cliché werewolf plot. I have enjoyed the series enormously and cannot wait to see what this book has in store for us. Please note that I have received this book from Xpresso Book Tours as I have applied for the review opportunity that came with this series. In no way has receiving this book affected my opinion. All thoughts are my own.

Writing Thoughts:

This book was written a lot better than the previous two. It felt as if there was a better structure and the sentences has a clear direction whereas before they weren't as well structured. Preferred this writing style over the one that was present in the previous two books. I was also happy to see that the writing didn't loose its flare instead it seems as if it had gained more. I really liked the writing in this book.

Plot Thoughts:

There was a lot more structure to the plot in this book. Everything seemed well paced and well thought through. I did feel as if there some scenes that could have been elaborated more just to help make the story clearer but other than that I loved this book. So much happened in such a small time and I loved the urgency portrayed. I was also so happy to hear more about a lot of the side characters' past. This has been one hell of a journey and honestly I can't wait for the next one.

Character Thoughts:

There was one thing that I had a huge problem with. In certain circumstances, it felt as if Mackenzie wasn't portrayed true to her character. In certain scenes, Mackenzie acted like a spoilt and ungrateful person (ps, this is just my opinion) and in terms of what happens in those scenes, you would hope that Mackenzie would be grateful. In those scenes, her ungratefulness sort of put me off of the story and I understand that she is fighting for all Lunas but I do believe that there is a line that shouldn't be crossed and she crossed it.

Wow, that was such a vague paragraph but no spoilers. But other than that, I found that all the characters were still down to earth and so realistic.

Final Thoughts:

Besides a couple of things that didn't quite make senses to me, I loved this book. If this was the conclusion, it would have been perfect! But I am so excited to see what happens in the next book! It has been an interesting ride. I am still #TeamBash because damn... Things got interesting! Thank you to Xpresso Book Tours for giving me my new obsession!

Yours in Reading,

Melleny
