Tainted water for the good of the people. Fluoride and vitamins to sustain the health of the human race. Added ingredients to extend and elevate the quality of life. All good things, right?

Wrong.

Thia Kelly has been changed by the TS901 chemical in the world's water supply. Now, forced into hiding with the other inflicted outcasts, she struggles to survive as her powers emerge.

Even Daniels hunted for others like himself, and finding Thia suddenly brought meaning back into his life. Love blossomed between the strange couple whole they search for a way to reverse the effects. Unfortunately, the Government had something else in mind.

Super-soldier creation on a mass scale was their end goal, and thank to an unfortunate family tie, Evan became Patient #1.

Good-guy? Bad-guy? The world isn't sure, but Thia is left with only one choice - save the ass of the world's first Anomaly who just happens to be her boyfriend.

Book Review:
Pre-reading Thoughts:

This book sounded interesting. The premise sounded promising. And the concept sounded unique. How could I pass up an opportunity such as this one?

Thank you so much to Xpresso Book Tours for this opportunity. Just a quick little disclaimer for those reading this review. I have received this book for free in exchange for an honest review. No money on my behalf has been spent in acquiring this book. Please note that this does not affect my opinion in any way. All thoughts are my own.

Writing Thoughts:

The writing in this book was detailed and took you to the dystopian world created by the authors. However, it doesn't keep up and every now and again you can tell that a different author is writing compared to before. The story had a bit of an odd pace and flow. One moment everything would be going so well and then the next it was almost as if everything came to a stand still.

Plot Thoughts:

The plot wasn't what I expected. I expected a bit more Evan Daniels and a little less than what we actually got. The plot and scenes that did unfold in the book weren't bad. They were interesting and most of them had a purpose. I did feel like we were missing some scenes that would have helped to smooth out the storyline a bit. But other than that, the plot was full of action.

Character Thoughts:

The characters tended to switch between being well-rounded and falling flat. I know that it sounds weird but just give me a second. When we are introduced to the characters, they seem well-rounded and then in a couple of scenes, their characteristics just seem to not matter anymore making the character seem bare. It was as if their characteristics just was not enough to carry them anymore.

I really enjoyed Gigi's character. She was smart, funny and always seemed to know when to be sarcastic. She was so entertaining to read about.

Final Thoughts:

Overall, I enjoyed myself whilst reading this book. The format that I got the book in made it a little bit difficult to read the book but it was still easy (ish) to follow. The writing was good but every now and again you could tell that there were two different authors writing this book. The plot was really interesting and packed with action. However, I don't think that the plot and the synopsis are talking about the same thing. At least from what I had originally thought whilst reading the synopsis in the beginning. The characters were well rounded but seemed to fall flat every now and again. But once again, it was an enjoyable read and I am definitely interested in seeing where this series goes. Thank you so much to Xpresso Book Tours for this opportunity!
