Book Review:
Pre-reading Thoughts:

I have seen this box set popping up every now and again. It looks like it has a really nice array of books! I will be reviewing one book in the entire box set. The name and synopsis is provided at the top of this post, but the book cover is not.

When I saw the cover for this book I couldn't help but think of those cheesy romance novels that you see floating around on Amazon. And honestly, I really would like to read a cute romance. Hopefully this gives me that!

Thank you so much to Dogearedbookbox UK for providing me with a copy of this book to review. Just a small little disclaimer for those reading this review. I have received this book for free in exchange for an honest review. No money on my behalf has been spent in acquiring this book. Please note that this does not affect my opinion in any way. All thoughts are my own.

Writing Thoughts:

The writing in this book was reflective of the time the book was set in. The register was formal and some of the sentences were elevated. The writing was also fast paced and had a good flow to it.

Plot Thoughts:

It was super unfortunate that I was not really into the story. Whilst I enjoyed some of this book, there were so many parts where I found that I was bored. I just wanted a little more of something.

Character Thoughts:

The characters in this book were very interesting. One minute they were super interesting and in the next I found them a little bland. The relationships that they had or that they developed with one another was done quite well and was one of the factors that kept me reading the book.

Final Thoughts:

Overall, I did not enjoy this book. Maybe it just wanted the right time to read it or it just wasn't my type of book, but I did not enjoy it. I was bored and whenever something interested me, it disappeared just as quickly as it appeared. I will probably try to read this book again sometime but I can't really guarantee that...

Thank you to Dogearedbookbox UK for sending me this book!

Yours in Reading,

Melleny
