Book Review:
Pre-reading Thoughts:

I am super excited for this book because I have been wanting to read it for the longest time now. And I finally have it in my hands.

Thank you so much to Sky Pony Press for sending me a copy of the book! Just a small disclaimer for those reading this review. I have received this book in exchange for an honest review. Please note that this does not affect my opinion in any way. All thoughts are my own.

Writing Thoughts:

The writing in this book was kind of bland. It had all of the technical aspects that made the writing easy to read and understandable but it didn't have the author's unique voice ingrained in-between the words. However, I really enjoyed the dialogue that was lively and natural. It was just entertaining to read what the characters had to say.

Plot Thoughts:

The plot was slow in the beginning but as more things started to happen the faster the plot moved along. I do think that at some points it is unnecessarily long but other than that the plot was amazing. The concept was completely unique and I loved being in this world. It was amazing. The atmosphere was set up properly and as we follow Danny's story, it seems as if we are there experiencing it with him. The plot was filled with mystery and fun.

Character Thoughts:

I absolutely adored Danny and Colton. They were such different and contrasting characters. They just felt like old friends that you couldn't wait to see. I loved how serious Danny was but how he was also able to find the good in some instances. I loved how carefree Colton was and how naive yet wise he was. I found that I got really attached to these characters. I just wanted to know more about them.

Final Thoughts:

Overall, I thought that this book was good. It pulled me in with its unique concept and held me captive. The plot was slow but it picked up really nicely and whilst the writing was good it lacked the author's unique voice. I absolutely adored these characters. Thank you so much to Sky Pony Press for providing me with a copy of this book!

Yours in Reading,

Melleny
