Goodreads Synopsis:

She’s loved and lost him a hundred times across a thousand years. She can’t bear to lose him again.

Lin’s dreams are haunted by faces of people she’s never met. Unable to shake the feeling she’s lived before, she’s drawn to Reinier—a stranger whose soul is heartbreakingly familiar from a time gone by.

Reinier helps Lin unravel the mystery of her past life as Hannah, a girl who sacrificed herself for her true love, Matthew. As Lin falls hopelessly in love with Reinier, her memories of her life as Hannah sharpen and she finds herself unable to let go of Matthew.

With her heart torn in two, Lin must decide whether she should stand by Reinier’s side or track down Matthew and fight for his love. What she doesn’t know is that her decision will ripple across our troubled planet, affecting far more lives than just her own.

Book Review:
Pre-reading Thoughts:
I am so excited to start this book. It sounds so interesting. I cannot wait for the swoon worthy moments.

Thank you to Xpresso Book Tours for providing me with a copy for this book! I cannot wait to jump into this book. Just a small little disclaimer for those reading this review. I have received this book for free in exchange for an honest review. Please note that this does not affect my opinion in any way. All thoughts are my own.

Writing Thoughts:

I liked the writing in this book. It was detailed but also had this lullaby feel to it. It didn't lull me to sleep but it was calming and just pulled me into the story.

Plot Thoughts:

I liked the plot but I didn't really feel connected to it. I felt like I was going through the motions and whilst there were definitely some moments that had me interested in the story, it didn't pull me in as much as I had hoped. However with that being said, the plot was well thought through and everything connected quite well.

Character Thoughts:

I liked Hannah, she sacrificed herself for Matthew when he was in danger. She is kind and sweet. She became her own person. Matthew had a bit of a rough start but I was slo glad that he stood up and worked towards a future for himself.

Final Thoughts:

Overall, I enjoyed this book. Whilst it may not have been what I expected, it was exactly what I needed to get my reading groove back. The writing gently pulls you into the story, the plot may not have completely pulled me into the story but it definitely had some high points that keep you going. The characters in this book are unique.  Thank you so much to Xpresso Book Tours for providing me with a copy go this book!
