Book Review:
Pre-reading Thoughts:

I am so excited for this book! I loved the first three in the series that followed Violet and her story but I cannot wait for Calla's story. It seems like we will get to see more of the guardian training and overall process of becoming a guardian. I am interested in seeing how the world has changed since the events of the pervious books. I also cannot wait to see some old friends!

Thank you so much to the author for sending me a copy of this book! I am so grateful! Just a small disclaimer for those reading this review. I have received this book in exchange for an honest review. Please note that this does not affect my opinion in any way. All thoughts are my own.

Writing Thoughts:

The writing in this book is so good! The writing had a good flow to it that made you just fly through the book. It also just had the right amount of sass for a teenager. I loved how light and natural the dialogue was.  The detail in the writing just took me back to the world that I fell in love with. The action scenes are done well and give a vivd image, the cute fluffy moments are really cute as well!

Plot Thoughts:

Oh damn! This book was good. I loved everything about it! The plot pulled you and kept you captured, the action just memorised me, the romance made me swoon And that plot twist though! This book was really good!

Character Thoughts:

I loved that we got to see a bit more of Calla. She is stubborn, childish and has a heart of pure gold. I loved that we got to meet her. I love her as a character. I also loved that we got to see some familiar faces. Vi and Ryn are still my favourite OTP at the moment!

Final Thoughts:

Overall, I was blown away by this book. It was a great start to the new story line but also a really great continuation of the series! The writing was fantastic and just really sucked me into the world. I loved that this book was just as filled with action and some swoon worthy moments. I really enjoyed getting to know Calla and who she is as a character! I loved that we got to see Vi and Ryn again. Even if it was just in fleeting moments. Thank you so much to the author for sending me a copy of her book to review!

Yours in Reading,

Melleny
